Californication, showtime show

Im staying at my cousins in MD this weekend and he has ON Demand in his theater, and weve been watching this show californication, now wtf is up with this show? Is it just about some guy who screws women and does nothing else with his life? I really do not get the premise of this show, if anyone else has watched it or understands it, please tell...

So far I think its a very amusing show. Since "Huff" is off the air Ive gravitated towards this show.

Basically David Duchovney is a writer who had one hit novel that turned into a terrible movie(starred by Tom and Katie). Since then hes failed to write another book.

The show follows him at present time with a failed relationship and a daughter from it. His best friend and publicist. And basically a lot of interesting sex with minors(who are really 21+ so its ok to think they are hot).
