I love Chris' criticism for this car and I fully agree with his review. I was a bit surprised, actually, by how disappointed he felt but that is what happens when you try and implement hybrid/electric motors in hyper-cars.

Really like the way the car is designed inside out but still why in the hell would they fit a hybrid system to it? This may just make the Carrera more exclusive in the near future.

I don't really get the sense of building a hybrid supercar, when alll you really want is to go as fast as possible as often as possible. To me I only se a technical showcase, like the Veyron. "We can do this" - but i doesn't really matter. I can see the electric boost as a benefit on the track though, or in racing. McLaren-Porsche partnership has really done the buisness there! Chris is a usual right on the money with his reveiw.

Glad Chris pointed out how much slower (relatively speaking) the 918 will be than its direct competition... Maybe Porsche plans you place this car underneath the P1 and LaFerrari instead on by their side. I can't see Porche starting a race they know they can not win OR perhaps they will just concider themselves winners because they will sell more (918 units) appose to a significantly smaller volume of the cars previously mentioned. The sales race is one I never was interested in two of my all time favorite brands (BMW & P-car) trying to win

Why not make it like the 918 RSR prototype that was N/A but had that regenerative system that uses braking power to spin a centrifuge that is later used to boost power coming out of turns???????
