Have to question the motives of whoever started the petition (not the OP, I assume he/she simply wishes Tesla well). Laws are created in the legislative branch. It would be more effective to go to your state, or, if you really believe that all states should conform to your wishes, contact your representative. Only thing this petition accomplishes is it signs people up for a mailing list.

I'm just a fan of Tesla, nothing more. There are old "blue laws" that have been in effect for many years in different states that make no sense anymore. Like PA cannot sell cars on Sunday (used to be no stores were open on Sunday).

If nothing else, this petition will allow legislature see that people want a choice of where they buy their vehicles and not forced into a dealership. It's similar to a union.

If you choose not to sign, it's okay. Everyone has their right to sign or not. I signed on 6/28 and got one email, to confirm my "account." That's it. Nothing else.

I've seen a ton of Tesla's on the road around my area. Many, many more than say any BMW M-model even. Everytime I see one, I just wonder how many people know that it's an electric vehicle.
