will a bmw dealership hire me if I have a medical card? I have a serious reason for it, but they dont allow it ill take it away.

This is by far the best response. Partially because its almost the only response. But mainly because it makes as much sense as the original question.

What the heck is a medical card anyway? I just assumed this was something particular to the States...maybe to buy pot then?

He is most likely referring to a medical marijuana card.

To answer the question, most likely not. Just because it is legal does not mean a company must hire you against their policies. If you are restricted from using a something as a condition of your employment; perhaps you should either not work there or not take the prohibited substance.

Given that you are either high when you typed this, or are incapable of generating a coherent question, I doubt you will be high on their hiring list, regardless of the fact that you possess a "medical card" that you'll "take away" if they don't allow it.

Probably still true if you are applying to be a grease monkey, though maybe that will be your saving grace.

I've been clean and it's been out of my system for quite awhile. My doctor recommended me getting a medical card because it's safer than the pain pills I've been prescribed. These pain pills are going to destroy my liver. I do have a legit excuse and I'am not bullshitting. Do you any of you guys work at BMW?

You will more than likely not get hired being the size corporation BMW is. I have my card from Michigan and because it is not technically "legal", a lot of larger companies will not honor it as a legitimate medical aid compared to prescription drugs.

If you want to work for BMW, you'd be better off keeping a clean system. If you want to go work for a mom and pop repair facility, you will more than likely find a position.

Or you can go with the Winnie the Pooh route.

Most likely this, but it depends on the dealership really. If you are trying a dealership that is owned by and individual over a company then they may be more understanding.A friend of mine works for a Chevy dealer and the owner didn't care as long as he wasn't using before or at work.

Could be dependent on the area. When I was tested, I never heard back from the VW dealership I put my resume into. Mind you, I was never a job jumper, had any kind of record, and I presented myself professionally no matter what position I was looking for, so I didn't see any reason to be denied other than that single fact.

I ended up working at a smaller shop called Speedy and was tested prior to employment. I had it noted that I did in fact use medicinal prior, and on my second interview it was brought up that they typically don't hire anyone who tests positive, regardless of medical or not, due to if something should happen due to a negligent employee abusing during work hours, it could be fatal to business if the community became aware of a situation.

Like I said, you are going to get mixed answers. There are places that will hire you, and there are places that will not. It is up to their own judgement and hiring policies.
