Wow! You're really dedicated to the fish-eye perspective. It's really interesting to see what you can do with one of these very special lenses.
I use a 15mm diagonal fish-eye quite extensively, but mainly as an ultra-wide angle lens. "Diagonal fish-eye" means that it only covers 180-degrees on the diagonal and will not produce a round image, as in most of yours. I like to use my 15mm to move in really close, take a wide image and then de-fish it with my DxO Optics Pro Raw conversion software. Here's a de-fished selfie: 502 Selfie by dcstep, on Flickr Note the starburst at the top of the image. This is something that my particular Canon 15mm does particularly well at small apertures. Ultra-wide and fish-eye lenses open up a whole new perspective for many photographers. Trying an image de-fished often leads to interesting results.

This give you some idea of how an unadjusted diagonal fish-eye image might look prior to de-fishing:
Untitled by dcstep, on Flickr The extreme bend in the top horizon is accentuated because I've tilted the camera up at a very high angle. it's interesting to play with this distortion and get a wide variety of results without moving your feet.

I play with fisheye sometimes - I leave it distorted because people eat it up for some reason......
it's a great little selfie lens or a lens that you can use when you're just hanging out with friends.... |

So Litos, is that a diagonal fisheye, or a zoom that you've got zoomed in?
Nice stuff.

I traded him a stock DX 18-55 VR lens for his fisheye because I liked the way it looked.... since I'm shooting FF and the 8mm fisheye is for DX cameras, I get that nasty block around my pictures.... so, every time I use this lens, I have to crop it down to get rid of the box... even AFTER the crop, I can still manage to get 4-6MB files from it since the resolution and MPx is so high on the D800... below is an example of what it looks like uncropped, and then a few more cool looking shots...... it's pretty versatile when you're in and around a high school baseball dugout, in the living room, in a car or inside of a small gazebo again, it's just a novelty lens, but it's still pretty cool to have... |
