I needed my password reset to login to my 401k. Simple....didn't work. Called back and was on the phone with PNC for 25 min. I will say they are not rude at all, just don't seem to know what they are doing. TD, Santander, Wells Fargo, kinda rude. They seem to nowadays want you to take your 6 figure account the he** out if you don't like it. Which is why if you don't deal with a CU, I wonder why?

I've had BofA in the past, never again...total POS of a banking institution. Been with Chase for over 8 years, couldn't be happier.

I was looking at the list of winners for week one of the sweepstakes....didn't win anything. At least my wife and I both maxed out the 5% certs. Imho it's like a free $205 x2 over having the money sitting in Ally at 0.009.

Moral of the story: when someone offers you free cash money with no strings attached, um, you take it!

Ps you're right. I just wanted a 1.5% true cash back Visa that I pay every month in full, and got another 30k card in my wallet (I would never max any cc out, foolish!)

If you can join a credit union - I highly recommend that you consider membership with one. The link below will provide you with the name of every credit union who maintains an office location in Boston.

For reference - I am over all commercial lending for a 1.8 Billion credit union here in North Carolina. My career started in banking with First Union back in the 90's...several bank mergers and acquisitions later - I grew tired of having to defend whatever fees and bank practices of the company happened to work for at that time. Made the move to a credit union and sleep better at night.

Also - don't be fooled by the "smaller" credit unions. We are surprisingly technology forward and offer almost all the services the "big box" banks have now...

Not per life, until next year when they offer another 1 yr cert at 5x the internet rate. Why knock a free $200+ for nothing? Point is, the wfc BAC Jpm C's of the world never do anything like that, they hammer their customers who feel they have no choice but to pay the fees.

Let's say you wanted an auto loan on a 5 yo 911. That' sphere the cu will save you a bundle.

Then there' soother stuff like true 1.5% cash back instantly on all purchase or true cash back at 5% on gas. No rotating categories like Jpm. Who doesn't buy gas?
