E36 M thoughts or z3M

Anyone know where or any person I can find to buy a sweet deal on those two cars? Also thoughts on those cars from anyone who has owned them would be appreciated.

Owned an M Coupe for a dozen years, two good friends had E36 and E46 M3's for most of that time. The MC is much more raw and lacks a lot of refinement, both in amenities and handling.

If you don't need the rear seats, I would pick the MC over the M3 100 times out of 100. It was a really fun track car, albeit not terribly fast, just enjoyable to get it right and a great learning experience too. I drove mine across the country a few times, the seats weren't great for long trips but still okay. The big drawback was a smallish gas tank which requires frequent fill ups.
