All the Supra replacement...decades in the works. I'll believe it when I see it.

Future Z4

They will share the platform in a shorter version to make the next Z4.

When will this toyota/bmw z4/ft1/supra will become a reality and stop just been opinions/concepts/legends/rumors. I been hearing this since the beginning of last year and it is still at the same spot that it was a year ago. FT1 Looks nice but seriously this just continue and continue to be just rumors. I have not see bmw or toyota actually announcing anything about this that is official and not a fantasy.

There was a GT86 concept five years before the damned thing came out. It went thru two or three iterations before it finally arrived, looking like a five year old design. I expect a similar level of fail for the Supra.

I don't think the GT86 is a failure because of the way it looks, it's a failure because, as it turns out, no one wants a cheap sports car that handles really well yet can't accelerate faster than a minivan full of passengers and with cinder blocks in the trunk.

Those that do just buy a Miata.

As much as I despise the Miata, I fully agree with this assessment\sentiment.

Mostly agree. I nearly bought a BRZ before we had our kid. Honestly, if it were a hatch, which would make getting the kid seat in a lot easier, I'd still consider it.

But I also owned a Miata, so there's that.

To be fair, any 'new car design' is a couple of years old by the time it hits the market. And no sooner are they out, a facelift/next generation model is being drawn up.

There's also the Prius tires they put on it.
