Sure but I still hope in more differentiation rather than "me-too". Look at performance hatch segment: very many cars, but only one engine, a Turbo 2l 4 cylinder, very often with the same AWD drive or LSD FWD. Look at the performance executive segment: very many cars too now (Maserati Ghibli GTS yet to come), but all with forced induction V8. Still ok for now, until all Germans will get 4,000 ccm V8, including BMW, but next comes the new E AMG.

Before the times were quite different:
Megane RS - I4 Turbo, Focus ST - I5 NA, RS3 - I5 Turbo, 147 GTA - V6 NA,
RS4 - V6 Biturbo, M3 - I6 NA - C AMG - V6 Kompressor/V8 NA,
RS6 - V10 Biturbo, M5 - V10 NA - E AMG - V8 Kompressor/NA,
Alpina B7 - V8 Compressor, S8 - V10 NA, S AMG - V12 Biturbo.
