BMW put amber reflectors within the side indicator because of law, not style.

In order for BMW to sell a road legal federalized Alpina B7, BMW WILL HAVE to include amber reflectors. So don't have your hope up on that.

4.8 seconds in a 7 series! that's just insane.

Who's to say you couldn't put an SMG on a 7 series?

Alpina have been using this (s/c 4.4L V8) engine before 7-series recieved its update. They've spent a lot of resources developing this engine, and since they aren't a big company, I guess they don't think it's neccessary for them to spend all the effort to try to supercharge another engine. After all, it isn't as if 500bhp isn't powerful enough to compete with competition anyway.
