I like it, but not that much...
Not even close. Top of the line RRS SVR starts at $111,000 and the Range Rover L Autobiography starts at $185k which isn't even close to the Bentley's $225k price tag. The base Range Rover (NOT RR) starts at $85k, and Sport at $65k. To put things into perspective, instead of buying a base Bentley Bentayga, you could buy a Range Rover, a RRS and 2 Evoques for the same price.

The only SUV that costs close to the Bentayga is the G65 AMG. But if we go by starting prices of entire model lines, the base Bentayga still costs about twice as much as an entry level G-class.

Judging by the price of this rebadged Q7, I guess Rolls Royce (the REAL RR) is going to charge about $300k for its rebadged X7.

I had to look at the pictures again. The outside front looks like a VW Toureg meets Hyundai Genesis. The rear end, including the wheel arches, looks like a Continental GT meets that ugly Lincoln SUV thing. The interior looks like typical warmed over VW/Audi. Not that Audi interiors are all that bad, but for that price, and a Bentley in general, it looks lame. I would (almost) expect jaw-dropping for a vehicle in that league. This one fails to deliver...

Hahahahaha.

No.

This car does not have any of the off road capability of a RR, or a GWagen. No low range, no lockers, etc. Not it's mission. This is per Bentley, not my conjecture.

As much as I don't like the vehicle, it is definitely not a re-badged first gen Cayenne.

It's based on the new MLB (??) platform that underpins the yet-to-be-released 2017 Q7 and will be under the next gen Cayenne.

The W12 is also substantially revised from the existing versions.

Why do you need low range when you have 670 lb ft of torque? Besides that Bentley openly agrees its not Range Rover capable but they know their customer base would never use a locking diff in their Beny My only grip is Bentley had a great opportunity to blow the face off the this new market segment and instead opted for the corporate strategy of building exactly what everyone expected and nothing more. Like the Porsche Cayenne, the second generation of this truck will be the business.
