BMW promises more distinct styling for next-gen models

I haven't seen much "distinct" styling from anyone lately actually, other than the newer Lexus line up, which has some of the best body lines out currently, IMO.

I think Mercedes has the best looking lineup right now. I don't really trust their engineering 100% but the cars are beautiful.

BMW invest too much in fussy styling in recent years. I thought that BMW design was supposed to be understated. They are over-styled already if you ask me.

I know this is highly subjective, but in general, I feel that current generation of many BMW vehicles is the best looking so far, and is in general, as good or better looking than most competition out there.

Personally I don't see the need for significant change and "more distinct styling". Evolution rather than complete redesign with each new model has worked for the company so far. I feel this is the reason very few few cars out there age as gracefully as BMWs do.
