Just Want to Share my Experience (599, Gallardo, SLR, GT3, etc.)
I got the extraordinary experience to drive the Mercedes SLR McLaren, Lambo Gallardo Spyder, Porsche GT3, Aston Martin Vantage, and the rare Ferrari 599 a few months ago. We basically went canyon driving and got the chance to spend at least 20 mins in each car driving. Anyways, here's a real brief review from the drive
1) SLR: 626 HP V8; 0-62: 3.8 sec. Exterior wise, car is beautiful! The interior, however, was quite simple. This was the first car I drove so I was kind of nervous and didn't really push the car. The car got so much torque, it is ridiculous. However, I coudn't test out its full potential in the mountains. With so many turns, I only had few opportunities to step on it hard. The car felt really heavy and the nose is very long that it felt uncomfortable to drive. The brakes were really stiff, as well. It felt like it wasn't going any slower when you hit on the brakes. 2) Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder: 520 HP V10; 0-60: 4.0 sec. The green paint definitely grew on me throughout the day. The feeling of driving this car was unbelievable. Handling was great and the throttle was very responsive. Paddle shifts were smooth and quick. Each downshift opened up the throttle and, with the engine right behind you, it gave a very pleasant and agressive growl. Drove by a girl, revved the engine, and got a huge smile and wave Driving 1xx mph was also fun heh. 3) Porsche GT3: 415 HP Flat 6; 0-62: 4.1 sec. This car was the most fun. Handling was exceptional and the car felt very nimble and quick. Though it's the cheapest out of the bunch, it is definitely a driver's car. The car just pulls and pulls, and is able to get out of turns really quickly. There was no problem facing the mountain roads. 4) Aston Martin Vantage: 380 HP V8; 0-60: 5.0 sec. Hmm...car is definitely a beauty. The driving experience is this vehicle was only okay. It definitely felt more luxurious and so the performance wasn't up to par with the rest of these vehicles. The manual on the car was harder to drive than the GT3. This is the car to cruise in after a long day of work. Interior was nice, especially with the seude roof. 5) Ferrari 599 GTB: 620 HP; 0-60: 3.7 sec. Wow! 1 of 65 GTB in the United States! The car is simply amazing. From interior to exterior, it was all stunning. Shifting was very quick and smooth. The power and handling of the car made driving through the canyons fun and with ease. Driving a vehicle with a long history in motorsports felt really good. So there it is, my quick and pretty useless review. Either way, getting the chance to drive these vehicles is a dream and crazy experience. I thought this event was going to be closed course and nothing like canyon driving. Here are some pics: The Lineup:

Noble M400: Too bad no one got to drive this beauty. It was only used as a backup car.
Enjoy.

The event was in Palm Springs, CA but I forgot what the canyon was called. I believe it costs about $1295 per person. Fortunately, I was able to experience it for free.
