On the I6 comment, I'd rather have the 3.0L I6 from the 130/330i. Lightweight car like this doesn't need a turbo, just needs a few more cylinders. At max a supercharger, but really I think FI is overkill.

There's a compnay in NZ that builds a conversion kit to install a V8 originally built for midgetcars in the GT86, the engine is lighter than the flat-4. revs to 11,000 rpm, sounds amazing. What more could you want?
