I'd rather do it in someone else's car, for insurance purposes. Lol

European delivery
Can one pick up a European delivery at the POE processing center, or is it limited to dealer and Performance Center?
BTW, Galveston floods with Hurricane surge, not big rain storms. Being right next to the Gulf, rainwater goes there very quickly. |

hard to tell. Between when you order your car and delivery, there's a ton that happens along the way. I'm betting the difference in delivery is minimum. BMW can try to decreasing processing time at port, inspection center, or even during assembly.

it depends on the boat/shipper...using K Line as an example.
Takes 15-16 days from Bremerhaven to Charleston. Takes 19-20 days from Bremerhaven to Galveston. I cant remember how long it took from boat arriving in Charleston to arriving in dealer, it was more than a week for sure. Now Galveston is new, but my SA estimates 3-4 days to get to Houston, pending customs. |

Sounds great and smart. Anything to have the New York metropolitan area less clogged up is a win-win for us New Yorkers and those of us living in the tri-state area.
