I believe so, I wasn't sure when I posted last night. I could check my photos of the museum to be certain.

I wonder if BMW will go with the original color, or with the Red Elvis choose..?!?

Elvis's 507 is still being restored. Once its finished I believe BMW Classic will show us the car. They said last July when I was at the press conference at the BMW Museum... that the restoration would take about two years. I think BMW plans the car to be finished to celebrate their 100th birthday in 2016.

Here is what Elvis's car looked like last year at the Museum...

Dackelone says NO... So I think I have the answer, but thanks for the thought.

I asked the people at the Museum if any of the cars on display was Elvis's old 507. They told me the restoration process is a long one and that BMW "hopes" to have the car finished sometime in 2016. Not sure when that will be.

I'm thinking maybe when BMW Classic moves into their new location up the street from the Welt at the old Knorr Bremsen(brakes) factory - that maybe Elvis's car will also be finished in time to show off BMW Classic's new location.

Knorr-Bremse Group (originally owned by BMW AG and sold off in the 50's.)

I asked that question too of BMW Classic last year.... at that press conference and also of the people at the BMW Museum last month... no one knows. I suspect they will go with the original white color, since Hans Stuck raced the car in white and later Elvis had the car painted red. But who knows. That yellow 507 was painted in a non original Atacama Yellow color. Maybe the owner of Elvis's car will go with what he wants/likes.

A nice "bump" for an old thread. Btw... I think Elvis's 507 should be finished very soon.
