Visited M HQ in munich yeterday and had time inside the M Studio where the Individual program is based. This small group controlls all the individual program requests that that come in from dealers and schedules the work with the factory production lines. There were a few camo cars outside but we were not allowed to take any pics - only inside. The camo cars included M5 and M2.
The M exec giving us the tour said M2 CS is released June 2018. No details discussed. The cars inside the studio were heavily optioned with indvidual paint and leather most visible priced list showed options added to most of these cars were adding about 30-40% to the standard price. Basically these are show cars to demonstrate what can be done.

The most unique car was 1 of 3 stretch limo 7 series done for Karl Largerfield.

Beer hall/garden visit also interesting - watch out for the 13% beer its killer!!

If only Individual would offer a lot more than then they do now.

Agree, Leather and paint are a big proportion of the offer. It mostly needs to be the product list otherwise can't offer so its not truely custom.

I was at the Ring for four days last week. Back in a few weeks with the MINI GP2.

excellent experience at the ring. first time for me so a lot to learn but parts of it a lot like tarmac rally so that helped me. Instructors said you needed at least 100 laps to start to know the track well - I can imagine that. Claudia on of the chief instructors and M5 Ring taxi driver lead our group in lafternoon of the second day when it had started to rain. Very very slippy but she had some pace on. 4 cars damaged over the 2 days - not in our group thankfully. Not sure when but I will be back for sure.

Envious of those of you that live in Europe and can get to the Ring much more easily

Thing is I would not normally go for the big banger cars - M5 M6 etc
but driving on aurobahn at unrestricted speeds the cruising ability and big HP are appealing. 240kph+ is effortless
