iPhone 7 and love it. I reluctantly update and hold out usually as long as I can.
Yea...no problems. Its quick as can be. Its dumb to update often with whatever the latest software is. I have a buddy that used to work at apple and when they first rolled out ios 8....he sent me a screenshot of their internal memo to employees saying WARNING DO NOT UPDATE TO IOS 8!! lol Chill and resist and do your research. I will say that apple has been annoying me on the computer side. Ever since Stevie J died RIP...the company has had no proper direction. I feel like so many of today's apple products Steve would have not allowed...and he would have probably fired the presenter. That said the new iMac pro looks killer despite being really expensive. I have the latest Mac Pro trashcan and I am waiting to see what the new Mac Pro design will look like. |

For those of us with 6S phones that are running like crap and generally fucking up, Apple has already admitted coming to market with too many features too quickly and that it affects the older phones in the way we are all experiencing. That battery factors into all of this as power is required as the phone's resources are stressed. Bottom line for me is that if I am going to have to change phones every year, I might as well get a Galaxy 9 in March and use my AT&T Next plan for tossing them every year. I have no use for the 3.5mm jack-less 7,8, or X. Their self righteous deeming of certain connectivity methods obsolete just because they feel that way pisses me off. Apple no longer has the stability the brought me to the iPhone in the 1st place. Everything from the 6 forward has simply gone the way of my former Android phones. Annually disposable $1000 tools. God, I LOVED my 5 and 5S.

I read that apple is forced to disable the battery throttle if the user wants in a new setting. So there's that. Also I don't really understand the the headphone frustration. I use nice audiotechina wired earbuds in my iPhone with the included lightning adapter dongle. It works fine. Yes I can not charge and listen at the same time but oh well. I am looking for a set on nice bluetooth ones. Possibly the new B&O ones. I mean think about it...the mini jack is 80's technology. Why should they keep it alive in 2018?

When you have to have talks over consumer financing with Goldman Sachs you know that your commodity product has jumped the shark.

If anyone had a turtle of a 3rd generation iPad it would be me. I don’t even fire it up anymore because of it’s so called light speed.

I can tell you my experience does not match most of yours.
First, I tend to delay my updates, I let new release mature before I update. I know product development well enough to know no matter how hard Apple try not to release software with problems, it's going to happen the individual use cases are so broad there is no way Apple can get it right put the gate. I just recently updated to iOS 11 for two reason, Apple cash and the homepod. Could not use either without being on the latest. My update went smoothly, and I have not had any specific issues, and I'm on a 6s which is over a year old and the battery is at 95% of life, so I'm not in the range where they throttle three phone to extend battery life. Just my two cents worth. |

If that's true then you're probably the only one.

Regarding the OP, why would you want to kick out by far the most qualified person to run the company and replace him with someone who has zero business qualifications or experience? Whatever Apple's been up to, this idea is far wackier.
