As you saw with Ford, there's little appetite (in their eyes) for estates. I'd personally love to have an E63 estate at some point. Gorgeous vehicles.
Yep, people are infatuated with their trucks, SUVs, SAVs, and crossovers here.

Isn't the Allroad the only flavor of A4 wagon available in the US nowadays?

You're forgetting the lovely Volvo V60 - respectable as a sports wagon in both the R-Design as well as the Polestar trims. As well as the V90 (I don't think they offer a Polestar model of the bigger V90, though).

Plus the slinky Jaguar XF Sportbrake. Hubba-hubba. Even though it'd spend half the time in the shop.

What? I saw one on the lot at the dealership when the wifey was shopping F Paces. Monroney sticker and everything - outside, not in the showroom behind velvet ropes as a marketing gimmick.

That F81 looks incredible. I wish the wagon was more popular here in the states. I have been looking for a nice E46 wagon with a manual and it is impossible to find, but this is something else.
