Got a new bike for fun.
So I have a mountain bike at school which works okay but it got janked after my car accident. The front crankshaft or whatever is sorta bent I think and I can't change those gears, but the rear derailer is fine... anyways used some of the money i got from the insurance to buy a new Bianchi Pista to use at home
fixed gear woowoo!

id recommend getting track pedals asap.. is not a "style" thing, but track pedals are essentail for newbies if they want to learn how to control their fixie..
they cost probably 30 bucks on ebay!

Nice Track bike, I have a Trek Madone 5.2 Pro that I have been using as a commuter bike / training bike that I love.
Couldn't you have just replaced the front derailer?

I was pretty sad that they couldn't fix the bike to the extent i wanted...but its okay... its still rideable but on occasion it does that grinding in the front as if it was changing gears but really isnt...

Nice bike :O
I've got a 40 year old Volkscycle with track pedals on it that I use.. I keep them pretty loose so I can slide my shoes right in though. Apparently my dad modded it out back when he was in college, because racing bikes was the 'in' thing?? O__o You should get a hand pump mounted on it. I can't count the number of times my friends have needed their tires aired up whenever we go riding.. Who knows, there might also be a cute girl that needs help airing up her tires as well. Although it might look a bit lame aftermarket.. Mine came with the bike I think and fits in perfectly. It mounts going vertically on the frame right below the front of the seat. -Nathan
