Good call, I would say Houston was lucky the ref called it. He was about to get lit up.

Steve did the right thing. I said it before, the name of the game is you want to walk out of there to fight another day. I know the live on TV octagon has not been in favor of Houston. We all wanted to see a longer fight but sometimes it does not work like that all the time. I am sure Houston will see why there is a ref in the ring and his 6 kids are gratefull their dad has many more oppotunities in the future.

Those punchs were straight punches while houston were on the ground and taking too many of those straight punches for 2-3 seconds can end your career in the sport (i think).

It's not a street fight, it's a sport.......although I've never really thought UFC did a great job of promoting it as one...at least they're better than before though.

The ref made the right call. From one of the overhead replay angles, it didn't look like Houston got hit all that bad, but from the other overhead angle they showed, he took it right on the chin. I think it was kind of a flash knock out because he didn't go completely limp on the ground and he seemed to recover after 2-3 seconds. The ref still made the right call though. It sucks, but it happens. Anyone who's sparred, competed, or been in enough fights knows that.

I think Karo got a bad call though, as he was protecting himself (although he was stunned).

Houston, on the other hand, was out. 2 losses in a row after a meteroic start.
