Front render of the 2022 X8M
Hi guys,
I made a new rendering of the upcoming X8M based on the latest spyshots. Although the car is still heavily camouflaged the main contours of the car are already visible. The car will most likely share the divided headlight design with the new 7 series. What do you think of the design? For more follow me on IG:https://www.instagram.com/bmw43__/ Cheers! |

Nice render. I don't know what BMW is thinking. Disproportionate grills is one thing. But split headlights has never looked good in the history of automobiles. It has no functional benefit either. I am positive now that the designers are purposefully trying to destroy the brand.

Nice. Grill looks good and not too big like the X7 etc. Not a fan of the multi-headlights/running lights setup.

Seems like most automakers are going to larger grills. I don't understand why.

I don't care about the large grilles as it's a feature on all vehicles these days and IMO it looks better on BMW SUV's than the smaller grilles. However split headlights are not a good look and I really hope BMW doesn't go into this direction.

With LED lighting.. headlights don't require such a large lens system that we're all used to. Their size can decrease without sacrificing performance. It looks like a few companies are going towards this style so we will have to get used to it.
It's still a styling choice in the end. |

The double headlights is a big trend in China isn’t it? With all the talk of large grills for the Asian market you may as well start looking at the local Chinese car market as to what the next will look like, will save the shock and surprise.

I'm curious why everyone keeps referring to these as double headlights. Aren't those just LED running lights? Which means they just separated the running lights from the headlight housing like vehicle designs of the past. The GV80 has split headlights. Or does everyone just dislike separate running lights.
