Both, actually. And the Marriott Newport Center for that matter. Property is gorgeous, as is the Broadmoor and others mentioned. It is the atmosphere and people that make me uncomfortable. Just not for me.

Yeah, we were going to splurge on our 2017 road trip vacation in the Z3, but we didn't get to the Grand Canyon to stay at that hotel. We did splurge though and stayed a few nights at the 4 Seasons in Jackson Hole. Had a room right at the bottom of the slopes, but it was September... Lol.
That Amangiri place just looks neat as hell. |

https://redcaboosemotel.com/ Probably not what the OP was looking for as a getaway, but I could see myself booking a birthday weekend getaway in a caboose. Another one on my bucket list is the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel: https://www.choochoohotel.com/

The St Regis at Deer Valley (Utah) is probably my favorite.
Nemacolin is a unique experience in the Midwest. Garden of the Gods Resort (Colorado) isn't going to be by top restaurants but it's still a cool experience. |
