I remember reading a story for uni in 1999 about how Nissan was a turnaround case because then new CEO Carlos Ghosn first order of business was to kill off 22 platforms nissan had going at the time. While BMW certainly learned a lesson there and doesnt have so many platforms, one wonders if they would be better served as just offering you to module build your car, rather than produce SO MANY MODELS, even if they share few platforms.

I also dont get their naming.

I dont get their styling.

I dont get where they are going as their offerings are all over the place.

Looks like a company in the end of its cycle for me. My bet is on VW/Mercedes now for delivering cool sh.t.

I don’t think this is the LWB. i3 sedan will be sold in Europe.

That's because in German, "electricity" is spelled "Ilektricity."

The I3 doesn't look as ugly as the I4.

I’d take the Chinese market i3 over the i4. Still not feeling the coffin grille.

"I", with amps as the unit, is the notation for electric current used in science. P(ower)=V(oltage) * I.

That, or they just copied Apple because 'i' makes for a better marketing campaign. Your theory works if engineers are running BMW, but we all know that isn't happening right now...
