I carry my two "weapons" i call them righty and lefty. Does anyone seriously get into enough trouble to be carrying on the regular?

Beyond that i usually only have my phone and my wallet (with no money) half the time, and key fob. Otherwise i aint got shit.

Yes - actually - I do have those in the car.
Minus the portable AED - but I do have CPR shields / not the same, but related.

For those not familiar.... google the Israeli Bandage.
No reason not to have one (or two) in the car at any given time.
Well if we're going to go nutz, I also have a trauma kit and fire extinguisher in the trunk. Haven't pulled the trigger yet on an AED. A quality one can cost thousands

I travel light:
  • Key fob
  • Iphone 12
  • Thin wallet
1 credit card, 1 debit card, 1 Costco card, 1 BMW key card, Driver's license, insurance info printed on paper the size of credit cards, very little cash. Nothing else.

No house key since I come in and out through the garage. No knife because I know I'd cut myself with it and no gun.

No. But work policy says we should carry unless impractical. They give us ammo, so why not?

Can we stop with the BS "I disagree with you so I am gonna harass you about your choices"?

Plenty of counter-arguments to your statements...

It does, but I am not using my phone in situations that a flashlight makes more sense. The flashlight is a bit more rugged than my glass iphone. This flashlight is also the size of a pen, not like im carrying a 12" Maglite.

I tell her its 8" instead.
Thankfully my watch has a nice flashlight on it so that dropped from my pockets, still have a zebra light on my edc bag.

Some people say they only carry if they are going someplace they think they'll need a firearm. I always try to avoid those places. That said, I carry everywhere I legally can. I carry the car fob on a small keyring, my wallet, small pocket knife (as a tool or for cutting a slice of cheesecake). I stopped carrying a flashlight several years ago. To someone else's point, I really should carry an on-person small trauma kit. I have one in the car.

For those that care, I carry a full-size 1911 when I can, and a Sig Sauer P365XL with a RomeoZero when a full size isn't practical.

I have been carrying the same high power LED flashlight on my keyring for years. Love it. I forget the brand/model, but it has 3 brightness levels & runs on 1 AAA battery.

What would be in this trauma kit that you carry on person daily? How many pockets do you have? LOL

There's a few simple rules...

First is preparedness, second is awareness, and the third is having a plan!

It's better to have and not need, than need and not have!!!

It's second nature to some, and to some it doesn't matter! There are those who are planters, and others who hunt!

Maybe it's my experience that dictates what I do, before I leave my home, and what I do when I'm outside it, and when I return.

It all depends on many factors what my load out consists of, but there's daily staples... Definitely cards, $, change, a cutting edge of some sort, and 99% of the time - my carry and +3 mags. If I have a bag/sling pack with me, then add, battery unit, small first aid, some paracord, extra cords for charging, writing instrument (s), headphones, bandana, sunglasses, +molle straps, hydro flask, some drugs like aspirin, antiseptic, an expanding batton, larger knife, flashlight, energy bars, a cap and more...

But where I'm going will dictate a lot. What I'm doing is next. Weather influences what comes along as well. I do advance scouting if it's somewhere I've never been previously. When I arrive there's always an assessment too, a survey, lay of the land, know the ins/outs, flow of traffic, exits. Also, what is the flavor of the location, etc. And there's nothing within 15 yards of me going on that I'm not paying attention to.

And in all that, I enjoy myself and have a great deal of fun!
Lol...

Room to carry stuff is my dilemma. The potential is high that a solid life saving kit could be useful. Tourniquet, Israeli bandage and some quick clot gauze would be great.

I understand the desire for most of the EDC gear...

One of the things that seem to be fairly common in those circles is the "prybar" that fits in the pocket, key chain, etc.

I've never understood the use for them outside of opening a bottle or can??

If this big-ass wallet (on a chain) weren't in my front pocket, I'd be lame by now from sitting on it.
Small pocket knife. One son gives us all a new set every year for Christmas, so always sharp. Open packages all day long, and people frown when I use my teeth
iPhone in other front pocket, now with accompanying N95
Key ring with way too many keys: Office, 2 FOBs, truck, bug, 2 dad's office, house, dad's house, generic network closet, safe deposit, scan card for gym

My ass cheeks stay smooth
