thats a majority of my life as a general contractor. I spend 75% of my time waiting on subs/venders and 25% putting out fires cause by said subs/vendors.

My landscaping guy is having trouble finding help for $20/hr. He's like WTF do I have to pay to get help?

Never enough time. Good thing my boss is awesome. His rule is when you drive out the gate at 5pm leave your bag of shit there. When you come back tomorrow if the bag is there, great....if the bag isnt there, great!

wages went crazy during covid in construction and theres no indication they are gonna come back down.

I cant find a guy to push a broom all day for less than $25/hr right now.

How about trying to honor quotes when product prices and availability are changing constantly? My husband is fighting this currently. He has conversations with each client because there is so much fluctuation with everything. It's not as cut and dry as it used to be. Everything takes longer and more work.

Thats the worst. Luckily we deal with big government projects so we lock pricing in early, but for small miscellaneous stuff, its been killing us.
