I've found that the best way to keep someone from driving too deeply into the garage is to keep the door closed and make them park outside.....

Then they just run into the garage door.

Good point, I do my own maintenance so having something like that by the front of the car would drive me nuts even though I really liked that 4 piece PVC idea posted above. Thankfully my garage is long enough where I have a few feet between the workbench and behind the car but if it wasn't so I'd definitely rig something that M_Six mentioned where the tennis ball goes up when the door comes down.

The bigger one is THIS ONE I believe.

I was unable to find the lower one I have, but it's similar to THIS ONE
If you have that much room in front and behind you (seems like my garage length give or take) why do you need a stopper? No offense, just curious

You have merely underestimated my level of OCD.

Having the stoppers guarantees we have enough room in front to walk, and enough room in the back to get the groceries out. It's also nice that the cars are positioned so that when she opens up her door there is no chance of hitting my mirror (I don't fold them). Lastly, if you notice on the right side I have cabinets, and it's nice knowing that when my son opens the door that it won't hit said cabinets (there is a gap right after the 2 cabinets that the door swings into).

It doesn't move at all, it probably deforms just a bit every time it's touched, and since it's a soft type of rubber it just stays in place (and my garage floor is damn near polished clean). Forgive the state of mine, I've had it for years, but I'll post some pix below.
