Carly near San Francisco

Hey, All. Does anybody near San Francisco own a Carly? Could you please help me code a few things? Thanks. Marc.

Have you considered something like bimmercode (i know Carly is good too - I just use bimmercode) that you can download from the app store for free? You can put it in demo made and see everything it'll do for you and only have to purchase it if you actually decide to do the coding.

The benefit for me going this route is I have a backup stored on my phone that will allow me to restore my car to pre-coding settings should I ever need/want to. Once you are coded and that person goes away your only hope to get back to stock setting is a reflash at the dealer.

Anyhoo just food for thought

Hey, Henry.

I have not considered bimmercode, neither that once the Carly owner goes away, I wouldn’t be able to undo any coding. The latter is indeed important.

I want to code vanity items. The folding of the mirrors, the 5 flashes of the indicators, rooftop operation, etc. Can bimmercode do that?

Thanks.

Marc

Are BimmerCode and Carly compatible? Do they play well together, so to speak? If one has a coding but the other doesn't, can both work together? In which order would it be best to install and code? Thanks again, all.

Hi Marc
The bimmercode download is free in the app store - download it, put it in demo mode (demo mode is very obvious see my screen shot below from my phone) and you can explore all the options for you car from the comfort of your couch (with no need to connect to the car)

Carly isn't very good. I definitely would not recommend buying or using a Carly.

All, sorry for the absence, and thank you for the replies. I’ll download Bimmercode this weekend, and revert.

I’ve found this bloke, Adrian and his SF BMW Coding Dot Com, in/near San Francisco. The reviews are excellent. I’ve requested a quote.

Update: I met Adrian today. He does all the Bimmercode, Carly and SmarTop coding combined! And explains and confirms and tests everything he’s doing. In 1 hour I was back on the road, happy as a lark. If you’re in the Bay Area, he’s your guy.
