I'd really like to take one of these carts out for a spin, not sure if the public roads is too good an idea though.

^ The wide billiard board roads with little traffic there is ideal.

That engine sounds better than most any 4-banger.

I love karting! It's such a huge thrill. I live in the middle of nowhere, Idaho, and we don't have any real karting tracks. I have to drive three hours to Utah if I want to kart. If we had tracks closer in proximity I would try to get into shifter karts. As it is, the next best thing for me will probably be to buy an NA Miata and do autocross.

Now come on that chaps a pro, see how he slows well before any risk taking in the situation and that kart can manoeuvre unlike a vehicle or a bike.

Have taken my Rotax out on the street at former house but cops quickly showed up and asked me to keep it off the road. 2 cops in town and 1400 people.

I wouldn't toll around like that in town, nobody would see you !!! Noise helps.

When you go ripping around town in a over-powered go-cart that is easily hidden from view and start to think people see you, that's when they don't. Throw in sand, pools of water, and bumps, and an ill timed place where the chassis is out of sorts; nah, the dude was not a pro.

Part of my performance driving course was being taught what the other one 'may' do and yup they sometimes do pull out in front of you or even a huge red bus or lorry coming towards them,a tip..left foot brake with extended brake pedal with foot covering it saves a second or two.
The roads kart guy chose are perfect and spot on with the odd vehicle in the way..obviously you couldn't do that in a place like say NJ where roads are not great I read.
