Not antiques, but about 4 years ago I bought my wife an AGT Triple Diamond Haywire 3 reel, backlit slot machine (aka one-armed bandit type) for about $650 which included the shipping. It was the best! I even had a "Casino Background Track" that I would play over our room speakers every time we used it.
It was called a Haywire edition because on random wins, the machine would go "Haywire" and the reels would spin in different directions, it would play crazy sounds, and repeat the win multiple times....almost like it was malfunctioning. We'd get a couple of drinks, and head down to the slot machine where we typically inserted our Costco rebate cash, or just some $20 bills. It was the ultimate, fun piggy bank. When we went to Vegas, we just opened up the cash drawer and there was usually a couple thousand dollars we had saved without even realizing it. It also was a great conversation starter piece and HUGE hit for people when we had parties - everyone wanted to play it. It took in real money (no coins) and when you cashed out, it would print a custom ticket with a barcode just like a real casino. We had the "TITO" - Ticket In, Ticket Out system so you could re-insert that ticket and the machine would give you the corresponding credits. Over time, we used it less and less, and last year (2020) I was having some work done in the house when the foreman took one look at the machine and said "How the hell did you manage to get THAT slot machine in your house - that's our (he and his wife) FAVORITE slot machine of all time!!!" I talked to him about it and he offered me $1,000 on the spot for it...so I sold it to him. He was ecstatic and couldn't wait to bring it home to his wife. Funny side note - at times I had to service the machine myself (had to install the backlit kit for the reels, replace the bill collector, etc.). When you opened it up, it was basically just a big circuit board with the EPROMS (these are the chips that define how the game is played, odds, etc.) But then I think of people touching slot machines in the real casinos in a certain way to bring themselves luck, or other superstitious habits....LOL it's just a machine with electricity running through it. Anyways, so now, I want a new one - but I want a Bally video slot machine that you can either play Titanic or Michael Jackson on it - but they're rare and hard to find, and typically go for $5,000. I like your antique slot machine by the way - amazing craftsmanship on that and I bet it has some cool history. Last edited by BMWGUYinCO; 01-04-2021 at 01:54 PM.. |

What are the rules in your area on buying slot machines? I know In my area its considered a gambling device so its illegal. I tried to get one a handful of years back and it was this big ordeal I remember. Maybe things have changed? I just wanted to get one for a man cave set up I had at one of my places.

That being said, I know a lot of sellers who won't break rules regarding your state, and a lot who will and tell you it's up to you. I probably had 4 different people buy one after playing mine, they thought it was that much fun. And when I told them about the piggy bank concept - that cemented the deal. |

I loved that Haywire game.
I remember looking into them once as well to buy in Wisconsin and it was a slight issue. They game had to be decommisioned someway by the manufacturer. I think it had something to do with being unable to do "payouts" but this is going back about 12 yrs and my memory has faded along with my mediocre looks |
