motul engine oil
Hi
Anyone tried both Motul 5w-30 and 5w-40 before? I heard older cars best to use 40. Currently I'm using Liqui moly 4200 5w-30 with Ceratec. Really smooth. I have yet to try 5w-40 oil, my mileage is 100000km. What is your take? |

Also looked into Liquimoly vs Motul, and apparently Liquimoly isn’t that great compared to Motul. I’m not sure though.

I did some research. Liqui moly is German technology and all their oils are only made in Germany. Motul is a French brand popularized for racing. However their oils may be made in other countries like Vietnam etc. Not sure of any product difference though

This is *the* oil thread here. https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...her+oil+thread
Pay close attention to what edycol/hellokitty says. edycol tests oil and knows his shit. He doesn't work for Blackstone. BTW, liqui moly is marketing shit. It's oil, that's it. What does the oil cap say on your S55...Castol. I'll leave it there and for you guys to read. I am trying to get edycol to make a definitive summary thread. |
