Looks better than the shit they come up with for new cars. I swear every car on the road will look exactly the same in a matter of years. Look at the previous Camaro. It was hideous. This was needed for Chevy to ever sell a Camaro ever again.

I saw a Challenger down the road today though. Screw the Camaro, the Challenger looks like pure sex.

I'd pick the Challenger over the Camaro. Saw one on a flatbed on the Mass Pike the other day. I thought it was a Camaro for a second but then realized it's a Challenger.

+1 on the challenger. on that note, i hope chevy doesnt re-introduce the chevelle tho. its an amazing car and if they bring it back it will turn out like this and make it seem less godly. sorta like Michael Jordan going to the wizards

This car about sums up why I would NEVER get a North American car for a LONG time.

The concept was nice.....the exterior is nice (not Angel Eyes, more like Angel Parantheses) but that DAMN interior....

RETRO GAUGES.... I get it GM, you want to RELIVE THE GLORY YEARS WHEN YOU HAD GOOD PRODUCTS. NOW YOUR PRODUCTS SUCK AND PUTTING RETRO GAUGES IN THERE IS NOT FOOLING ANYONE.

GET OVER THE PAST AND MOVE ON. GO TAKE THE LEAD INSTEAD OF LIVING IN THE 60'S AND 70'S.

Sorry for the shouting.

This is sooo typical of American design and quality. This car could really be something if they (GM) put more of their effort into it. It's almost like they went half-ass with the design. The concept and exterior of it is awesome, I hate to sound redundant but that interior is hideous. Why just concentrate on one aspect of the product when the rest of it is compromised or flawed? This is where the imports excel; there's balance, functionality, and flow in their design that makes sense. Just my $0.2.

Didn't know you guys were able to sit inside the new Camaro to tell us that the interior is using cheap materials. You might not like the design, but it is a retro interior so it is harping back to the 1969 Camaro's interior design. The class is retro, so GM went retro. It is not trying to relive its glory days. It is simply trying to compete with the retro Mustang and retro Challenger. As soon as they go modern, Camaro will go modern.

Every Japanese / German / Korean car company is moving forward and the US companies are doing retro. Not trying to relive it glory years? They have nothing else right now!

No wonder they are all in the dumper right now.

I wouldn't say *every* German/British hybrid car is moving forward these days... see: MINI.

But yeah, I'm not a fan of the new Camaro or even the new Challenger. Then again, I'm not a fan of American muscle. The contours of the designs have never set well with me. Give me sleek Euro 'muscle' any day.

Except the problem that classic Camaros interiors look nothing like the new one. I'm fine with reliving classic, I love it actually. I'm a huge classic muscle car fan, but the new Camaro interior doesn't look anything like the old.

They took a few design cues, then, like typical modern American cars, they wrapped it in huge gaudy plastic. Classic interiors were very simple, and I know modern cars have a lot of things that the older didn't, so they have to work that all in some how, but the new Camaro is just too much. The interior needs to be more subtle.

Compare this pic to the new ones and you'll see what I mean, the new interior is just too "fat".

I don't think it's reliving glory years as much as it is reviving a time when cars were so much more beautiful than they are now. Domestic car enthusiasts love the retro stylings, so why wouldn't they do it?

It's giving the guys who owned one of these cars when they were younger a chance to get another (mid life crisis, haha), and younger generations such as myself get to have what we never got to have.
