Back in the day of 6 CD changers in our cars, I frequently had 6 Rolling Stones CDs loaded. What are you going to do when you’re too old to Rock and Roll?

I meant Mick, not us. It amazes me these guys are still at it, still alive. Look at Keith Richards. It’s amazing he’s still alive after all the drugs he’s done. I thought there was a quote with someone asking Mick “What are you going to do when you’re too old to rock and roll”. But I can’t find reference to it.

I've seen the Stones about 6 times. Been back stage a few times (working security) Greatest Rock n' Roll band in history.

How about posting your favorite song(s) by the Rolling Stones?
Llarry's thread "Five favorite musical pieces" might be a good place to post them also. Last edited by Esteban; 07-26-2023 at 09:46 PM.. |

This must be on par with when I was security at a Grateful Dead weekend. First morning the heads of security go into this outhouse. Smoke starts pouring out the side, aka Fast Times.
Next day, I'm way out on the edges of the fairgrounds. Reach into the Security jacket that I was provided and find a roach in the pocket. "My Kingdom for a lighter!"

Worst security job ever had to be The Rolling Stones hiring the biker gang the Hells Angels for their 1969 free concert at Altamont Speedway in California. Turned out to be a tragic event with one person being murdered by the Hells Angels and many others hurt.

A lot of those guys are. At that level the serious addicts got sorted out years ago. Although Keith Richards and Mick Mars probably hold the record for nose dive recoveries.
How many times was Scott Weiland kicked out of Stone Temple Pilots before he died?
