A juke box with 60s songs - 1 coin

A variation on other threads, but only for the "old" crowd in this thread:

You're in front of a juke box -- a really big one with all the music of the 1960s on it -- and you've only got ONE coin. What song will you play?

I'd probably spend a half-hour reviewing and remembering all the choices. If The Tokens' The Lion Sleeps Tonight was there, I'd probably choose it.

This is a great question Llarry. There are so many good songs to choose from the 60s. Today I choose this one but I might choose something different on a different day. This is a cover of a Chuck Berry song, as you already know, but I think The Beatles do it absolutely perfect.

The Beatles - Rock And Roll Music (1964)

This should really be a new thread. There are so many choices to pick from.
That's music.

Funny 1990's story. NBC TV cut Michael Moore loose with his own TV show. One of his episodes was in Russia, looking to disarm the nuclear missile pointed at his home town. He somehow finagled a tour of a nuclear bunker in Moscow. They had a cassette radio on a cabinet, and of course he hit play on it to see what the Soviets/Russians would be listening to as our missiles rained down on them...ABBA's Dancing Queen.....

Back to the Beatles, my friend: The number I selected as my number one of my top five - Words of Love.

It is deeply imprinted on my mind. I just never tire of it. John and Paul's vocal harmony, George's (12 string?) guitar, Ringo's rhythm -- it just all comes together for me. I could put it on "auto replay" and let it repeat again and again. And why didn't they do a long version of, say, 10 minutes or more. Oh, heaven!

Good choice, Llarry. I had a hard time choosing between The Beatles “Rock and Roll Music” and The Beach Boys “Little Deuce Coupe,” which were my top 2 choices in my 60s list in your “Five favorite musical pieces” thread, but The Beatles won out.

Same here. I hadn't heard Eve of Destruction in decades until two mornings ago on my way to exercise. I'd forgotten all about it.

I still have my old 45-rpm records from the 1960s and I believe Eve of Destruction is among that collection, but I haven't put it on the turntable in a very long time. Great song!

Way too many for just one coin.

I would probably go with the King though.
