So how do you think the winners are picked?

How about instead of posting the winners, someone post the criteria under which the winners qualify for this distinction? I no longer work at a dealer so I don't have access to the data. Just a small portion was ever based on customer surveys, but just enough to disqualify those who don't play the begging game. And how often does your dealer beg you for "all tens" regardless of what they've done for you? I've seen dealers pay for surveys through accessories and other bribes, but that's still not the majority of how this is decided.

Don’t let this list discourage you. Shoot me a PM if you’re still shopping, I work at a Chicagoland dealer.

Did you really get rid of your G87? what did you replace it with?

Sure did. I’ll be getting an LCI G80.

Had a good lease experience with Bill Jacobs, though this was right before COVID. They were the only store in the area that were willing to work with me on price and get well below MSRP before incentives; very quick and seamless experience over email with the Sales Manager. Almost ordered a G80 through them, but that was right around rates spiking.

Orland Park is 15 minutes from me, so I took my car there for service and warranty work, but wasn't super impressed with them overall. BJ is a bit too far for me for servicing.

I’ll be in touch. You can DM me at your convenience. I’ll be ordering a MY25 M3 stick shift. Still debating color 🙄

I drive from the city (I’m a mile and a half from Perillo) to BJ for service. Always had a good experience with them, and it’s not often I have to make the trip anyway.

My purchase experience at Motorwerks was fantastic. Good enough that I've referred people there.

Only service work so far was the 1200 mile break-in, which was fine. So I don't know that I can speak to the overall service experience.

Leased my last 2 BMWs from Bill Jacobs - very good experience overall. They've been on the list in the past years so not sure why they didn't make it this year. I would definitely recommend them.

Had bad experience with Motorworks but that may be one-off.

Some of the dealers in south Florida are simply too arrogant to do this. IMHO, the largest dealer in Miami doesn't give a 💩 as evidenced by the actions of their sales reps and service people!!!

Got my first BMW, a new 2020 X3 M40i, from Bill Jacobs and had a great experience. Mike Alder was the sales manager and gave me 10% off MSRP for my order, best deal around. Very transparent and great communication, only negative was dealing with finance and upselling, but that's the same everywhere. They also had great service, picking up my car while I was at work, and then dropping it off for me. Looking into upgrading to an X7 with another kid on the way, will be reaching out to them, even though I live in Ann Arbor, MI (not a fan of the dealership here)

Chicago area...

Perillo BMW in downtown Chicago are pure scammers. Service guy was trying to tell me my brake pads needed replacement when I checked myself at home they were nearly new. They were also supposed to change my brake fluid as part of maintenance but never touched it even though it says they did. Sales never returns phone calls.

Orland Park is OK but they give out Nissan loaners unless if you're doing out of warranty service and paying cash then they'll have a BMW loaner magically available. Service is so so and I think they over torqued my wheels last time I had new tires put on (was impossible to loosen the lug bolts).

I had the best experience buying a car from Motorwerks in Barrington agreed on a price and sale over the phone in less than 5 minutes.

Crevier BMW FTW! Kinda funny because I bought my 750Li at the BMW dealer in Buena Park Ca,but didnt realize how much a 10 minute longer drive would be worth it until after I bought my car and took it there for service.

Great dealership and service department!

If they're going to include the Huntsville dealership, that tells me the whole list is crap. Never been so disappointed in the car buying process. Also, not sure if it's included or not, but they do some of the worst body/paint work I've seen in decades - and they're certified for what that's worth.
