Some black F 1-50 backed into my X3 2018 320i xdrive
What do you boys think? Is it totaled? I know it’s hard to tell from picures, I’m just looking for any opinions. I will have details Monday from the geico adjuster. UPDATE: Adjuster said 2300 and this is before it went to the mechanic. I will keep you boys updated. |

This much work, I'd only accept repair via a good BMW dealer, so they can put their seal of approval on the geometry. And a warranty. This doesn't look a small cosmetic job.

Not totaled. The light is the expensive part. I'll guess $6,200 repair. Definitely go to a BMW certified body shop.

You may want to look into the lower control arm ball joint. It looks like the rubber boot is split, which will eventually lead to the ball joint wearing out. The split in the boot was not caused by the accident.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
