If true - less than desirable but understandable since it's a zero sum game in a fixed manufacturing budget. Hopefully, all electric X3M will offer more compelling features, such 4 motors and torque vectoring improvements that can only be offered with electric motors at each wheel.

There is zero doubt. It's not coming. Unfortunately, from what I know, the X3M was never popular enough to warrant its existence, despite being a great car. And the X3 M50 closes the gap a bit more

For me it´s not a surprise since the M50 got quad exhaust pipes.

Only top of the range models get those. So I am pretty shure, that there will be no G97 with an ICE.

That’s a big disappointment given the bland Subaru Forester inspired exterior and low rent interior, plus lack or proper sport seats etc.

Outside the drivetrain, this true “M” replacement offers a red band on the wheel in the least sporting interior I can imagine, quad exhausts, and is available in earring aid beige , wow.😮

Spoke to a reliable source of BMW information for the past 5 years who said there will not be an ICE X3M in 2025.

He’s yet to be wrong.

Hope this is the first time.

They should’ve juiced the acceleration of the M50 more if this was always the case. At least make it equivalent with the M340.

Offer a competition model of the M50 and all good! The X3M isn’t worth the money for the extra .05 seconds of acceleration without paying for the competition upgrade. I get into to trouble as it is with 4.4 of my M40i. Electric versions hitting the high 2’s or 3’s is even more challenging unless you live in Germany.

That’s actually a great compromise. Offer a package that includes a tune and some exhaust and maybe an exclusive wheel option, price it for a healthy margin, and let those people pay for it.

Hell yeah...how about an oem Stg 1 tune with the MPE and more aggressive wheels
