Car currently has a custom tune from previous owner and I want to adjust my burbles

The car has been custom tuned and the previous owner says it’s a non branded custom tune, idk what that means. Anyways I wanted to adjust my burbles/pops and bm3 and MHD have gotten my attention. I’ve heard they save whatever tune the car has already as stock or stage 0. I just wanted to know if this was true because I did not want to lose power losing the custom tune. And let’s say all that goes well. When I select the stock/stage 0 option, will I be able to adjust the burbles?

This is the off-topic area on a BMW forum. Are you asking about a Toyota Supra? Perhaps a Supra forum would be a better place to inquire.

Good point. Perhaps this topic should be moved to the General BMW forum.

It still astounds me that when Toyota and BMW got together to do the Supra, that they both collectively thought BMW's strength was in engine and Toyota's was in design.

Maybe the exec team was briefly whisked off to opposite world for that decision...about the only thing that seems half logical to me.

I see that you (and Manny59) checked to see that my tag was already on it.

No popcorn needed, since I'm sure that it's all legitimate postings.....

Been wanting to remove it. I wouldn’t be here if I wanted it. Stock burbles are annoying especially with an aftermarket DP and Catback

You need the user account and password to see what kind of tune its running. Since the car was sold I doubt it that youll have access to the original owners modifications. You need to flash it back to stock and then load the tune again. You can run a BM3 stage 1 flash and adjust the burbles after.

I'm not sure if you can flash a flashed car but hopefully BM3 has a work around with it.
Currently waiting for a response from BM3, I’m on a custom stage 2 tune but hate the burbles and pops

Try posting in a subsection that is about tuning instead of OT.

Just drop a stock tune on it and start over! Not hard...
