Break in period?

As the cars are starting to arrive, did your dealer say anything about a break in period.? What to do? keep the RPMs low etc.

Also when is the first service to change the fluids etc?

Running in is usually covered in the manual, imagine that.

The My BMW app will show what service is due and when, although this may change depending on driving conditions. Just follow BMW guidance.

Yup, break-in info is in the manual.

For the G45 X3 M50 the break-in info is:
For the first 1,200 miles do not exceed 4,500 RPM and 100 MPH. Avoid full throttle or kickdown under all circumstances.

From 1,200 miles on the engine and vehicle speed can be gradually increased.

It’s good to know, after 1,200, I’ll all set for 100 MPH. Wahoo…..

I’ll use that excuse when a state trooper pulls me for speeding. The BMW manual says 100MPH is OK!
