October base rate is 5.29%. I have not checked to see if that is regional or not.

Mostly I figured I'd just provide it as a data/reference point for other folks.
Why pay it off early? It’s a depreciating liability. Keep your money in a high yield savings or a good stock.

You pay it off early because IT IS a depreciating liability (bad debt)!

The only good debt I'm aware of is a house or college education!

I traded in two cars I was quite above-water on so I don't owe much on the X3. Like I said, I mostly just financed to maker dealer more willing to work with me on pricing. Will then pay off the little remaining balance just to get it off my books.

5.9% is still higher than the best FDIC insured high-yield savings account around now so I'd still lose money by not paying it off and keeping money in savings. Only way to make that work as "good debt" would be to put it in the market which is frankly not worth the risk to me at this moment. Given the small sum involved I'd rather just not have the debt to worry about and own the car out-right.

If you can’t find a high yield savings greater than 5.29% or if you believe the stock market will be a bear market for the next several years, then I suppose it makes sense to pay it off.

Yeah at 5.29% it's a bit of a toss up as to whether it's worth paying it off early. For lower rates like 2% or 3% it's a no-brainer to keep the loan and invest the money instead. But 5-6% is right on the fence where the opportunity cost might not be much.

No, they are not allowed to do that. 57% is the correct RV for 7.5k miles.

Now that we've had quite a few more folks take delivery of their G45's... what rates did you all get for financing?

Plus you get the $3k military incentive using NFCU, or any outside, versus the $500 when using BMWFS.
