Probably November/December arrival for early cars. From memory Q1 2025 was mentioned for UK delivery in the launch stuff.
Although, interestingly some Uk BMW dealers are showing cars as in stock on Autotrader, but with computer generated images unless it’s changed. Most seem to be 2.0d models. Rosslyn South Africa is also now producing the G45, and will build the 30e exclusively. Not sure where the non M50 models will be built for the UK. Maybe I’ll give them a call to go see their in stock car. Last edited by avi66; 10-10-2024 at 06:27 AM.. |

I contacted the BMW dealer to arrange to view the car advertised below as in stock. It turns out it’s not a G45, so images are for deception only, not illustrative purposes lol.

I ordered mine in September. At the time it had a build start date of 15 Oct with delivery 29 November.
Just checked with dealer, still those dates in the system. Status has now changed to ‘production scheduled’. |

To para phrase the sales guy, no one knows what they are like because it isn’t available yet, so there are no reviews. |

Anyone has more info on the availability of a 30d for the UK? I'd like to downscale from the X5, but definitely not into a hybrid thing...

If it does, my guess would be for the new model year, but there is little detail about if it’s happening, or in what form that I’v seen so far. Having driven the 40i, I preferred the M40d as an SUV power train, as to me it is better suited. Plus, that 700nm torque is addictive. I drive a lot around Cornwall country lanes, so any increase in external dimensions is red flag. I do like how in the US some offer the X3 as a “city car” because it’s compact. Imagine that here ….. |

As for a diesel, I also drive quite a bit between Berks and Mid-Wales (where there is zero chance of having a charger) so forget these idiotic hybrids, I want a normal plain straight 6 diesel, thank you! |
