Personalizing Modes

Hi Folks,

New owner here trying to figure out this new car's capabilities.

How much can you personalize the driving experience? I see how to make sport or efficient the default. Is "personal" mode just like in between? Like "comfort" was on the old X3s?

Also, what about the other modes that are more aesthetic? Is there a way to combine "Efficient" driving mode with the "Relax" aesthetic?

Can you make anything else part of a personal profile? Like music or climate or roof open/close?

Thanks All!

Good luck on the roof open/close.

Comfort mode in iD7 doesn’t have an individual option, unlike sport and eco modes.

“Personal” mode sounds more like the “individual” driver experience modes in iD7, except on iD7 this primarily deals with steering, adaptive suspension, shift pattern, accelerator response etc, rather than changing ambient lighting etc.

You found a way to make Sport the default? I only see a few options for a default mode and Sport is not one of them.

No sport default

No you’re right, can’t be sport or efficient, which seems weird but I guess it was the same in the old system: you had to switch to those modes once you were driving.
I’m getting used it to it now, but “Personal” is a weird name for something you can barely personalize (just the cluster configuration). It’s the same as “Comfort” was, but I think “Balanced” would be a better name.

And I think you should be able to pick a drive mode and an aesthetic mode.

Agree on all points.

The modes are close to being useful but the implementation sucks. Hopefully they iterate via software updates.
