Especially when the dealer typically adds a 1% markup on the rate! Even Bank of America is at 5.79% right now!

Out of curiosity: which credit union are you with that's offering an auto loan rate below 5%?

Welcome to the forum. Give Genius a call and they will be able to give you your production week. About two weeks prior to that you will go into the Production Begins status. That does not mean that assembly has begun but rather that a VIN has been assigned and parts ordered/allocated. At that point in time you can use the "F12" process to get your production date.

The Drive Recorder is part of Parking Assistant Professional.

Paying cash doesn't help. BMWF normally gives you incentives to finance and the finance guy wants to make money. You can always pay off the loan early to minimize interest paid.

Paying cash may help in a house purchase but not necessarily for a new car!

A little different take than above. Do your negotiating first and don't even mention whether you are financing, paying cash or even leasing. Once you have the dealer discount taken care of then look into what incentives you may be eligible for.

Your target this month is 8-9% off x3 30 and 7-8% off m50

this is all before the $500 loyalty credit and buy rate for the APR/MF if you are financing/leasing

In the USA, the Parking Assistance Package claims to be priced at $900. It also says the Premium Package is required to order the Parking Assistance Package. However when you order the Premium Package, the Parking Assistance Package gets reduced to a price of $200.

So why did BMW list $900 for the Parking Assistance Package if nobody is paying that? Or is the prerequisite of the Premium Package not true? The $900 price is also listed on the web configurator. It just doesn’t make any sense me.

Probably added the constraint after pricing the package as well as likely some type of marketing idea.

Much of the Parking features that were part of the G01's PAP are actually standard now on the G45. The new PAP only adds incremental features and that's probably why it's only $200 more. The $900 could be a carry over from the G01-style of a la carte package pricing.

I don't think they are standard, it is due to 5DN being part of the Premium package.

Under "Standard Features" for G45:

"Rear View Camera, Active Park Distance Control with Side Protection, Automatic Park Assistant and Backup Assistant"

Other than rear view camera, I think the rest was only found in PAP on the G01.

You might be misunderstanding, 5DN is the reason for the price difference since it is part of the Premium package.

On a related question, I forget what BMW calls their birdseye view feature when parking. But every manufacturer has it, usually as an extra add-on. It stitches all the camera videos together. Is that birdseye view feature now a standard feature with the G45? If not, then under which package does it fall under?

BMW calls it Surround View. It is part of 5DN which is in the Premium package.
