Spare Tire Part Numbers

So, I thought I opted for the spare tire when I actually I got the mobility kit. I got the 20" M Jet Black Bi-color 906M wheels with all season tires. Does anyone know where I could get the part numbers if I wanted to try to piece together a space saver tire with tool kit. Dealer wanted around $900

X3 G45 Spare Tire Information

The "trunk tray" should be P/N 71-10-5-A44-5D4
It is on backorder in the US with a few possibly becoming available at the end of January or the beginning of February.

Good luck finding the temporary tire and wheel assembly. The answer that I got was that BMW is not offering it as a part at this time. It is possible that a service department could order one, with the proper paperwork.

The wheel only P/N is 36-11-5-A44-CA2
This part is supposedly available in Germany for $393.50. The tire is another story. It is made by Tiamjin Lizhong Grou (Linglong Americas, IN, in Ohio), size 125/85R18 101M., rim width 3.5" (I believe). I cannot find one in the US and the BMW dealership said that they cannot get one. I called Linglong in Ohio, but no one answered and I dd not receive a return call. The closest tire in wheel diameter, circumference and width is a Kumho T121 T135/80R18 104M SL for $141.65. It fits a 3.5-4.5" wide rim, has a tread width of 3.8", a 26.5" diameter and turns 754 revolutions per mile. According to a tire size calculator, a 125/85-18 tire is 4.92" wide (probably not the tread width), has a diameter of 26.37", and turns 764.92 revolutions per mile.

Go check Modern Spare’s website. They should be able to help you out. But you probably will still need the tire pan under the cover.

Yes, Partnumber for the insert is 71105A445D4

There are some available at BMW spare parts dealers here in Germany so they should be available in the US soon too.

List price is a luxurious €70,- sells for 55,-

Wheel only is availbale for €250,- but doesn't make sense as a complete wheel&tire is €315,- only.

I ordered the spare a few months ago because I had the same issue - got the mobility kit instead of the spare. I went to the dealer and ordered the spare (PN shown in this thread is correct). Dealer gave me no trouble ordering via the parts department. I have yet to order the remaining parts from the total spare kit.

X3 G45 Temporary Spare Tire Saga

Modern Spare does catalog a spare tire kit, but by my calculations, it will not fit in the well provided in the car even without the insert. Modern Spare holds to the (correct, I believe) idea that in an AWD car with electronic controls, the circumference of the spare should be the same as that of the OEM tires, or at least very close. BMW doesn't seem to care about that, just getting it to fit in the available area. It probably really doesn't matter since you'll probably never use it...

GTGuy: What dealer did you order the spare wheel and tire assembly from and how much was it, if you don't mind.

X3 G45 Tires

My X3 30xDrive came with Hankook, Dynapro HPX 245/50R19 all season tires. Was anyone else unlucky enough to have them on their car? At first no one had them available, now I have found them at one tire warehouse, but even Tire Rack doesn't have them. The dealer doesn't have them and the last time I checked, just before Christmas, their supplier didn't have them either. They actually don't seem to drive too bad, I just didn't expect to find Hankook tires on a BMW...

Wrong thread. This thread here is about the space saver tire.

Yankee2025 I purchased the space saver spare for my X3 M50 from Century BMW located in Huntsville, AL. Price was $423 and that included local and state taxes. I’ll verify the PN when I get home this afternoon.
