Is the 2025 X3 the Ugliest BMW Ever?
Yes!!! It's the ugliest ever. But looks aren't everything. Redesign with an opening sunroof and I'd buy one blindfolded because underneath the ugly is a really good BMW. Sad I can't prove that I'd do this. How can BMW make such a huge mistake?

That said, it’s all about cost reduction for BMW, and the need to move to EV, against massive competition from China. Some speculate the G45 is designed for Chinese market taste, and if so BMW sales in that region are down around 30% last year. Personally, I’m not a fan of the G45, and the interior has a low rent look and material feel to me, even compared to other recent BMW interiors. On Thursday I spent some time sitting in different brand new BMW’s from the 1 to the XM, and the G45 was probably the cheapest feeling interior to me. Whilst the other models used lots of plastic, it didn’t feel as cheap. As for exterior looks, it’s just personal taste, but there’s probably a good reason BMW changed its design team and brought in fresh blood from Polestar. Last edited by avi66; Today at 05:51 AM.. |

It’s personal taste, but it’s a fact that the X3 G01 was BMW’s best selling model, and it’s too early to tell how the G45 sales will perform, although X3 sales fell 9% in North America in Q4 2024, which coincides with the G45 launch, and there doesn’t appear to be a shortage of G45 product, or discounts.
The G01 is an old design now, although the G45 still uses the same CLAR ICE platform from back in the day, which is common sense for BMW, given the G45 is ICE centric, and ICE centric platform is end of life at this point. |

So making any assumptions based on Q4 figures is pure speculation. |

In your opinion it seems but not mine.
I think it’s a good looking car inside and out. It fresh, modern and with clean lines and no fussy details. In any event what about the 6 series GT and the 1 series first generation. |

North America is probably the most significant market for the X3 outside China, so initial sales in that market, particularly with pent-up demand for a new model, should be flying given the X3 was BMW best seller previously. The 9% reduction is based on BMW's own figures for North America in Q4, not speculation. Is the 30e offered in the USA ? |
