Angry Driving asst plus will not activate

I am frustrated trying to activate certain things on this OS 9 software. 1. I have Driver asst plus and have activated in the drive menu but cannot get it to work on my interstate 87 which I a mapped road. My 2025 x5 activates no problem and the green light bars come on. Also this mode does not appear in my heads up display. Any suggestions? 2. I cannot add content to my heads up display (map, nav and other items) how do I add content besides just the mode view? 3. I have all my music on a usb-C memory stick but only can find usb-A ports in the vehicle? I can’t believe they would not provide at least one USB-C port? My wife is ready to turn the vehicle in with frustration.

As far as I know, Driver Assist Plus on the X3 will only activate on certain highways when you're going under 40 MPH. I can confirm this was the case for me a few days ago driving on the highway in rush hour traffic. Once I was under 40 MHP, the Driver Assist Plus logo showed up on my heads up display (HUD), and I didn't have to touch the steering wheel at all. Once I went above 40 MPH, the Driver Assist Plus logo disappearing, and I had to touch the steering wheel again a few seconds. Were you perhaps going above 40 MPH?

Let me see if I can help here, because it certainly is confusing. The 2025 X3, regardless of the particular flavor, does not offer the full hands-free experience of some of the higher-level BMW vehicles, such as the X6 and the iX. (We've had both of those, so we know what they can do - which is basically handle hands-free driving up to something like 80 mph on certain highways.)

But the 2025 X3 does offer, as an optional package, the Driving Assistance Professional Package (DAPP, for $1,700). Though the configurator, like all BMW configurators, does not make everything completely clear, that DAPP package, in turn, includes Active Driving Assistant Pro - on the 2025 X3, though not necessarily on other vehicles that offer DAPP.

And THAT is what - on a 2025 X3 equipped with DAPP - gives you hands-free "traffic-jam assistance" driving up to 40 mph on certain highways.

So, to summarize, if your X3 has DAPP and you invoke cruise control in the assisted-driving mode, the car will drive itself - hands free - during a marked highway traffic jam up to 40 mph. Anything above that speed, the car still will drive itself remarkably well up to about 80 mph, but you'll need to keep a soft finger touch on the steering wheel.

Here's the official definition:

WHAT IS BMW ACTIVE DRIVING ASSISTANT PRO?

For even more parking features and driver-assist technologies, you have the option on some BMW models to upgrade to BMW Active Driving Assistant Pro. What is BMW Active Driving Assistant Pro, and how does it differ from the regular system?

BMW Active Driving Assistant Pro is an advanced upgrade option for select BMW models already equipped with the standard Active Driving Assistant. This comprehensive package includes features like adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, active collision avoidance, and front cross-traffic warning, all of which are part of the regular system. What sets Active Driving Assistant Pro apart is its traffic-jam assistance system, which provides lane-centering assistance and steering at speeds below 40 mph for easier commutes, albeit primarily on limited-access highways.

BMW Active Driving Assistant Pro also offers safety enhancements like evasion assistance for sudden steering maneuvers and automatic emergency stop assistance if the driver becomes unresponsive due to a medical issue.

Yes I was at 73? After spending an hour on the phone with the bmw genius it was confirmed no hands free above 40. Totally different than my 2025 X5.
