I work in telecommunications. Yeah, they're really garbage. I've worked at another worksite with more down to earth people who would always invite me to all events.

Well, it's the workplace. I wouldn't be surprised at all if people started false rumours about me just to make themselves look good. I can finally confirm that I work in a pathetic environment at my department. I swear there are coworkers who are drunk or high on weed while on the job.

I would never imagine that she would not invite me as she invited almost everyone at my workplace.
I reserve my emotions and my thoughts for those who are really close to me, i.e. good friends and family. For the others, including those who were demoted to PoS status, they're not worth me thinking about them, nor getting pissed. It's like one-sided love, whatever you do, the other party won't care, neither will it have any effect on them.

[QUOTE=aut0sh0cker;3682440]700 lbs !!!! is that a typo!?

She's about 700lbs right? I refused to let her in my ride in my car and even for a short ride because I was afraid her weight might cause damage to my suspension.

The former never works.

I would just take this wedding incident as an epiphany to leave, if what you said about the workplace tends to be true. The snub was just the breaking point.

Holy shit, she's extra large. You didn't have to deny her a ride because she wouldn't fit into the front seat of an M3 anyhow.

Besides the door jam says, combined weight of cargo and passengers can't exceed 882 lbs. I'm sure she'd put you over the limit.

I had to make the same decision about a month ago for my wedding reception. Some people got invited some didn't. This one bitch begged to be invited and after I did she didn't even show up. Obviously she doesn't like you but why do you care? Just because you bought her cake and kissed her ass doesn't mean she is your friend, has she ever helped you out before? No!!!

do you really drive a bmw? that could have something to do with it if the people in your office are mostly rednecks.

The funny thing about my department is that you act polite, don't swear or shout, or be aggressive, etc coworkers in my department won't respect you most of the time. I don't do the above because I need to deal with the public and other departments most of the time. There's one lady and she's 62 and she swears and acts rowdy all the time. She acts like a total snob and looks down at people who she thinks are rednecks. Yet, she shops at Wal-Mart and talks about Wal-Mart all the time and other discount stores. She was invited to the wedding and another coworker told me that she didn't bring along her husband to the wedding - well, it was no surprised because her husband weighs 450lbs! She didn't want to ruin her image.

I actually work at the nice part of town and over 50 percent of the homes are worth over a million dollars. I am just unforunate to be stuck with a bunch of immature and non trustworthy coworkers.

I had no idea that there were rednecks in Canada. I thought that the South had a monopoly on that.

There's a city called Surrey where there are major rednecks. When I was going to high school, my teachers would make fun of people who live in Surrey. Same with college, my profs would make fun of Surrey people.
Go to Google and type "Surrey jokes" and you'll see. David Letterman even made fun of Surrey.

Oh yeah, the immature 62 year old lady lives in Surrey.

My perspective of Canada just changed in the last 4 posts. It's fantastic to know that they can even worse than we are.
