Adderall is a prescribed drug that is issued to kids with add and adhd. I believe it is an amphetamine that simply increases your focus and just makes you happier. my brother has a prescription for his attention deficiency hyperactive disorder and he absolutely refuses to eat whenever he takes it. also you can't sleep when you're on it. From what I HEAR, it is a highly abused drug due to the fact that ADD and ADHD are still in controversial stages as some people believe they don't exist or there isn't like a set of criteria to follow in order to diagnose someone with the disorder (most high schoolers will claim that they have some kind of attention disorder). I'VE HEARD that the drug gives you an overall happier feeling and kids in school will use it in order to focus better and do well in school (even when they don't have add or adhd).

From Wikipedia
Adderall is a brand-name pharmaceutical psychostimulant composed of mixed amphetamine salts, the actions of which are sympathomimetic. The drug is used primarily to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and narcolepsy, which are its only two approved indications for use in the United States. It is available in two formulations: immediate release and extended release (XR). The XR formulation, however, is not approved to treat narcolepsy.
