what do you think was the best/funniest/most interesting thread etc.?

Not sure which particular thread, but it was interesting to see things change as the economy worsened. There used to be people who boasted how wise they were and making beaucoup bucks in stocks and real estate, leasing fancy cars graduating from 335's in a matter of months because the color wasn't right and the turbo lag too prounounced. We can all see how stupid such boasts would be today, as we wait for a rebound with raises frozen and bonuses cut. But let's all drink a toast to the trust fund babies because they haven't changed at all in 2k8! They're still partying like it's 2009!

I think Leon's gun thread (which I contributed to significantly) was one of the best of 2008. And I think it WAS finally removed. I can't find it anywhere now.
