I've seen a shitload of old Bollywood movies & I didn't think it was similar to any Bollywood-produced film I've ever seen. Which films did you have in mind?

Slumdog Millionaire was one of the those movies with a good deal of everything in it. There were scenes of action, adventure, humor, love, suspense, etc and none of the elements were overdone like most hollywood flicks. It had a very heart-warming feel to it and, from what I've heard from Indian colleagues, provides you with a relatively accurate portrayal of life in the slums of India. Highly recommended.
